St. John’s International is still playing catch-up but there are still cancellations and delays on the arrivals/departures board in what has been a chaotic week for air travel.
Wayne Morris, who is director of operations at YYT, says they had more than 50 flights cancelled from mid-day Tuesday to last night.
He says carriers have added extra capacity, and the support mechanisms at the airport are also operating on high gear.
He suspects that their partners, including CATSA and concession operators are expecting to be a little busier today than they normally would be.
