It’s an especially busy time of year for organizations which rely on the generosity of the public but the Single Parents Association also stages a program designed to help recipients get back into the work world. It’s a 9-week virtual program which helps single parents compile a good resume and prepare for other aspects of job hunting.
Executive director Danielle Seward says sometimes, single parents can’t afford a new outfit for that job interview or do not have suitable clothes to wear to a job opportunity.
She says they have a program called “Margaret’s Closet” which will provide whatever a parent would need. They have scrubs and other items which the job hunter may need and if they don’t have it, they will go online and courier it to the recipient.
