The minister of health, Labrador affairs, and Indigenous relations says she is ready to take on each of those weighty portfolios.
Lela Evans was sworn in as the minister for those files a couple of weeks ago.
The demanding nature of those portfolios has caused some to question if one minister will be able to give them the attention they need.
Evans says she doesn’t see the number of files she is responsible for as a problem; she sees it as an opportunity to bring the voices of Labradorians to the table to make sure they can have access to health care.
She calls it a tremendous opportunity and says she is up to the challenge, noting that she has the support of the different departments and people who want to find solutions.
