A suspect is in custody following an incident that led police from Botwood to Glovers Harbour early this morning.

RCMP began looking for a black 2025 Ford F-150 around 2 a.m. as part of an ongoing investigation.

The vehicle was last seen in Botwood, and at the time people were being told not to approach it or anyone inside for public safety reasons.

A couple of hours later, police located the vehicle near Glovers Harbour and arrested an occupant without further incident.

There will be an increased police presence in the area today as a result.
