A man wanted by the RNC is back in the arms of the law after he was caught rifling through cars in the centre city area last night.

Officers had been on the lookout for the 26-year-old who was wanted for failing to comply with his release conditions that were issued the day before.

Police managed to nab the man after he was caught trying to go through vehicles parked on McNeil Street just after 10:00 last night.

He was arrested and taken back to the lockup.
