The NDP is urging the provincial government to make affordable housing a key focus as the wait list for public housing under NLHC reaches approximately 2,500.
Party leader Jim Dinn says families with children, seniors, and young people just starting out are in “desperate need” and he’s urging government not to accept the status quo.
Dinn says government cannot leave it up to the for-profit private market alone.
