A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged as the result of an armed robbery at a business on Queen Street in St. John’s.
RNC say the man presented a weapon to an employee, demanded cash and then fled the area.
There were no injuries.
Ajmain Inqiyad Islam Radin was arrested on Friday and charged with armed robbery, careless use of a firearm, possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose, pointing, using a firearm in the commission of an offence and carrying a concealed firearm.
He made an initial court appearance on Saturday.
