RCMP are continuing their search for Jesse Lewis wanted on a number of outstanding charges.

Police believe that Lewis was an occupant of a stolen vehicle involved in two separate incidents of flight from police in the Colliers area, one on Saturday night and the other early Sunday morning.

The same suspect vehicle was reported to be spotted gassing up at the Irving on Kenmount Road in St. John’s around 3:30 Sunday morning.

When officers arrived, the driver fled the scene, colliding with a taxi and two RNC police vehicles.

RNC say a very short pursuit was halted for public safety reasons as the driver was known to police and had a dangerous history of driving offences.

The stolen vehicle was recovered by the RNC.

Both the RNC and RCMP are conducting investigations with further charges pending.
