A 32-year-old man has been charged for allegedly stealing from a store in Stephenville, mere days after he was picked up for a similar offence at another business.
RCMP arrested Gregory MacPhee over the weekend in relation to a theft at a store on Queen Street.
Then, on Tuesday morning police were called to a store on Main Street where an employee reported that a man had left the business with several things he didn’t pay for.
MacPhee was located at a home a short while later and arrested again.
In relation to that incident, the accused is facing several charges including two counts of theft under $5,000, three counts each of failing to comply with his probation and release orders, and fraudulently obtaining transportation.
He appeared in court on those charges yesterday.
