There are some changes coming to the Provincial Court schedule.
Civil hearings, traffic hearings and Contraventions Act cases for court in St. John’s, Grand Falls-Windsor and Stephenville have been adjourned indefinitely. The parties involved are being contacted.
Travel to the Port aux Basques circuit will be suspended following the Dec. 3-5 circuit. All future matters will be moved to Stephenville Provincial Court, so participants will be required to travel to Stephenville unless otherwise notified.
All cases currently scheduled for Baie Verte will be called in Grand Falls-Windsor, so travel will be involved there also.
The Provincial Court of Newfoundland and Labrador says court operations will be monitored to ensure optimal service during these challenging times. It did not specify what it meant by “challenging” times.
