The inquiry regarding Innu children in care resumes formal hearings today.
The proceedings will be convened in a virtual space, and a link to the livestream of proceedings will be posted each day on the inquiry’s website and Facebook page.
Officials from the Innu Roundtable Secretariat are scheduled to testify for the first half of today while a professor and researcher from Wilfred Laurier University will talk about specialized and land-based services accessed by Innu children and youth this afternoon.
Direct and multi-generational trauma will be the topic tomorrow morning while child welfare services in Newfoundland and Labrador is on the table tomorrow afternoon.
