Des Downey, charged with intimidating a witness in his ongoing manslaughter trial, has been denied bail.
RNC arrested the 56-year-old last week as the trial was about to hear final submissions from counsel.
A bail hearing on the latest charge was held on Friday, with the decision handed down this afternoon by Judge James Walsh.
Downey is charged with manslaughter in the death of 71-year-old Doug Hunt in March of 2022.
The court previously heard that Downey punched Hunt once in the head, allegedly causing his death about five hours later.
His manslaughter trial is scheduled to resume on December 9th.
