Drug-related charges are pending against a 40-year-old Colliers man after he was pulled over in Holyrood over the weekend.
The RCMP attempted to pull the man over around 1 a.m. on Saturday, but say the vehicle sped away at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle was later stopped on Sir Albert Walsh Drive and the driver, plus three other people inside the vehicle, were arrested.
Police say a search of the vehicle turned up quantities of suspected cocaine, various pills and tablets, and drug paraphernalia.
The man, who was driving the vehicle, has been charged with flight from police, and ticketed for having open alcohol in a vehicle, a suspended license, no insurance, and for not having a valid license plate. His vehicle was also seized.
A lab analysis of the items seized is ongoing, with further charges possible.
All of the passengers were released without charges.
