A man has been charged with assaulting and robbing a taxi driver in Happy Valley-Goose Bay over the weekend.
The incident occurred along Hamilton River Road just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
RCMP say a man attempted to enter the cab when it was picking up some other passengers. When he was refused service, the man is said to have assaulted the driver, stole his mobile phone headset, and struck the vehicle.
Now, 26-year-old Zachary Collins is facing numerous offences including robbery, three counts of uttering threats, four counts of assaulting a police officer, and two counts of breaching probation.
