The Avalon North Wolverines were kept busy yesterday.

The ground search and rescue team was involved in two separate searches – one for two boys who were overdue during yesterday’s storm after last being seen in the Western Bay Line area in the morning.

The children were found safe just before the supper hour.

Meanwhile, the Wolverines were called out by RCMP around 1:30 yesterday morning.

Two men in their forties were riding their four-wheelers in the Tilton area when they veered off the path and couldn’t find their way back.

They were located around 4:30 yesterday morning after calling for help on their cell phones. The Wolverines say the men had started a fire, and were in good spirits when they were found.
