The clock is ticking and the jackpot is climbing for the latest VOCM Cares 50/50 draw.

The jackpot has now surpassed $200,000 with the winning ticket receiving half of that.

There’s also a second prize of a one-year lease on a CRV Hybrid from Steele Honda, and a third prize of a shop-and-stay package worth $1,200 from the Avalon Mall and the Capital Hotel.

Fund development manager Jenelle Lambert says it is exciting to watch the jackpot climb, noting that it has “tripled” in the last five days. They are expecting some big growth as the fundraiser enters its final hours.

Especially in the last 12 hours, she says they can refresh the page once every five minutes and the number will have grown. Lambert says with the last two draws they did, each jackpot ballooned by over $60,000 in the last 12 hours.

Midnight is the deadline to buy.
