A man who was under a court order not to drive has been arrested in Bay Bulls for getting behind the wheel.
Just before 6 p.m. on Sunday, RCMP were told that a prohibited driver was operating a vehicle in the town.
Officers found the suspect vehicle a short time later along Northside Road, and say the driver was located nearby attempting to hide from them.
The accused, identified as 40-year-old Jonathan Atkinson, has been charged with driving while disqualified, restricting or obstructing a peace officer, and three counts of failing to comply with a release order.
His next court appearance is scheduled for the new year.
