A 33-year-old Placentia man had his vehicle impounded after RCMP say he tried to give them the runaround Thursday afternoon.
Officers tried to pull the driver over along Prince William Drive shortly before 3 p.m. after it was determined that the vehicle did not have insurance.
Instead, the man is said to have driven into the parking lot of a nearby drug store, entered the business, and then left through another door.
Police later located the man, who did not have a driver’s license either.
He was ticketed for driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.
