Cruise NL is wrapping up what it says has been a record-breaking cruise ship season.
This year’s season was the longest in the province’s history, starting in January and wrapping up in October.
The province saw more than 180 cruise ship calls across 24 ports including 22 calls to the French islands of St. Pierre et Miquelon.
The local cruise industry says more than 100,000 passengers and 40,000 crew visited the region over the last year, bringing a welcome boost to places like St. John’s, Corner Brook and even Trinity and Bonavista.
