Canadian Blood Services is calling on people across the country to book appointments to donate blood or plasma in the final few days of the calendar year.
The keepers of the blood supply note that donations usually fall off around this time of year as many don’t realize that donor centres are open during the holidays as patients continue to rely on donations every single day.
The facility on Wicklow Street is open New Year’s Eve from 9:00-2:00 and New Year’s Day from 2:00 to 7:00.
