A 70-year-old man is facing an impaired driving charge following a late-night traffic stop in St. John’s.
RNC officers pulled the vehicle over near Columbus Drive and Topsail Road shortly before midnight and detected the smell of alcohol.
Police say the man was taken to headquarters but refused to provide a breath sample. He was held in custody overnight.
