A total of nearly $7-million from  the three levels of government has been set aside for improvements to water and sewer systems in CBS.

The money will be put towards the installation of new drinking water and sewer lines and continued service to 55 homes.

It will also help pave the way for the development of at least 65 new homes, and open up additional vacant land for residential construction – including lots along Legion Road.

Infrastructure Minister Barry Petten says the project is needed.

He says Paradise and CBS are two of the fastest-growing municipalities in Atlantic Canada. With that growth comes increased needs.
