The Mayor of CBS is pleased with $7 million dollars in joint government funding that he says will help to open up future development in the Seal Cove area.
Currently, a portion of Seal Cove is one of the few areas of town not serviced with water and sewer.
Mayor Darrin Bent says the funding announced this week will help with the installation of several kilometres of water lines and a half a kilometre of sewer line that will help make the area more attractive to development.
He says the funding announced this week is in addition to multi-year capital works money to be announced this year.
Bent says the expansion will allow them to put more areas of town on their list of priorities.
