A man has been arrested after an incident on the west coast that prompted police to issue a shelter in place advisory.
RNC had advised residents of McIvers to stay inside with their doors locked as officers responded to an incident involving weapons at a home in the community.
Charges are pending. RNC will have more information as it becomes available.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has issued a shelter-in-place for the community of McIvers on the west coast.
The RNC say they are responding to a weapons offense and that there are no reports of injuries.
All residents of the town are being asked to lock their doors and stay away from windows.
No through traffic is allowed at this time.
RNC Constable Steph Myers says the incident is contained to one home but they are asking residents to shelter-in-place as a precaution.
