Education minister Paul Dinn expects a decision to be made between 4 and 5 p.m. about whether schools in metro will open for classes tomorrow.
Students have been at home all week as crews work on widening streets and making things safe for kids to get to school.
Paul Dinn says crews are assessing the situation.
He says staff from NL Schools, bus operators, and workers from Transportation and Infrastructure are looking at the situation.
He says they are assessing the conditions on the roads, noting that some are still very narrow.
