Unlike the last time St. John’s hosted the Brier, you don’t need a ticket to the main events to get in on some of the fun.
The vice-chair of the host committee, Eugene Trickett, says The Patch, located at the St. John’s Convention Centre, will be open to everyone.
Trickett says there will be lots of hustle and bustle at all hours of the day.
He says there will be live entertainment kicking off as soon as the doors swing open at noon. Fans can gather around and watch some of the matches on the TV screens. Trickett says it’s not unusual to see some of the teams filtering in and out of the venue either.
The Brier gets underway tomorrow night at the Mary Brown’s Centre.
