The 20th anniversary of Cain’s Quest is in the history books with father and son Randy and Sebastian Malleck of Team 99 Saga Boys Vikings first to cross the finish line today.
The world’s toughest snowmobile endurance race lived up to its billing with at least 7 teams unable to complete the journey.
It’s the second time the Mallecks – who are from Sheshatshiu – have won the race and the purse of $100,000.
Randy says they’ll be donating the money to IWK Children’s Hospital in Halifax.
Second across the line today were Joshua Rose and Mike Elliott of Team Northern Legacy Racing.
They were followed by Len Scott Rich and Mathias Rich in third place.
