It’s been four years since Russia invaded Ukraine, and members of the local Ukrainian community are gathering tomorrow at the Basilica in St. John’s to recognize the event that changed their lives forever.
Thousands of Ukrainians who left their home country after the invasion now live in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Bruce Lilly of Ukrainian NL says tomorrow’s event will be focused on the impact the war has had on children.
The event gets underway tomorrow at 2:00 at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist.
