A 32-year-old Nain woman is facing charges after a resident of the community had to be treated for serious injuries.
RCMP say Adeline Benuen was arrested after police were called to a home on Middle Path on Wednesday evening.
The victim was taken to the local community clinic, with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The accused was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and breach of probation.
She was held in custody pending a court appearance.
