The official Opposition has launched a petition calling on Premier Tony Wakeham to stop using MCP to pay a physician providing advice to the premier’s office.
The Liberals claim people are “deeply concerned” by the premier’s decision to pay Dr. Des Whalen $275,000 for political advice, and the online petition will give those people a voice.
The Liberals contend that using healthcare funding to serve the premier and the governing party’s political interests is “completely unacceptable.”
The petition can be found on the provincial Liberal party’s website.
