Both the RNC and the St. John’s Junior Hockey League are investigating following a violent altercation at the Goulds Arena Saturday night.
According to The Mr. Lube + Tires St. John’s Junior Hockey League, the events occurred during game 3 of the quarter finals between the St. John’s Caps and the Southern Shore Breakers.
The SJJHL says it is not taking the situation lightly and as of last night was awaiting a game incident report from officials to help them decide next steps.
The league calls the situation unacceptable and says severe suspensions will be issued.
In a post issued on Sunday, the league says it reserves the right to work with arena officials to remove fans who make threats of violence, or react with violence against any player, coach, spectator or official.
