Education Minister Paul Dinn says pensions are part of a four-year government plan for early childhood educators.
Dinn was responding to questions from the Opposition’s Paul Pike who asked about the status of pensions and sick leave for ECEs, promised by the PCs in last fall’s election campaign.
“Part of our plan looks at pensions and the like for early childhood educators. That’s a four-year plan, we will be looking at that.”
“We know that early childhood educators are very, very important to our education process, and to ensuring that our children are educated at an early age. So, as we go forward, we will continue to have consultations with the stakeholders, we will honour any commitments we make to them and hopefully, we’ll have a better system.”
