Health Canada has issued a recall on select reusable Tim Hortons mugs due to a burn hazard.
The recall affects the 16 oz white and pink ceramic mugs with a chocolate dip donut printed on it that changes colour when filled with warm liquid.
Health Canada says there is a burn risk associated with the mugs as they may crack or break when filled with hot fluids.
As of March 10 there had been 28 reported incidents and one burn injury connected to the product.
The mugs, which had been sold at Tim’s locations across the country and online, can be returned by April 22 for a refund.
