A 49-year-old woman was arrested and charged following an unusual sequence of events in Cottrell’s Cove.
RCMP were contacted Saturday evening about an assault and damage caused to a home in the town. The victim told police they believed the suspect, who drove away from the scene, was impaired.
The driver was found a short time later at a local home, and she was arrested and charged with assault, damage to property and driving while prohibited.
The woman refused a breath demand and she was also charged with refusal.
She was released on conditions to appear in court in June.
