The company behind a spaceport in St. Lawrence, is one of three Canadian companies that have been conditionally approved to receive $8.3 million in federal government funding aimed at developing the country’s space launch capability.
Markham, Ontario-based NordSpace made a number of attempted commercial space launches from the Burin Peninsula last summer.
NordSpace, the Canada Rocket Company and Reaction Dynamics were each chosen through the federal government’s Launch the North challenge to move their ideas from concept to prototype and testing, to build Canada’s technical readiness.
