The Cape Random Trust is taking a new approach to the quarter century legacy inspired by the creative output of a local author.
Random Passage is a film set near New Bonaventure, Trinity Bay, designed to reflect the very earliest days of European settlement in Newfoundland.
The set was created for a popular television series based on the work of author Bernice Morgan.
2026 marks the 25th anniversary of the Cape Random Trust, and over that time the carefully researched site it maintains has drawn thousands of visitors.
An update on the trust’s activities and its plans for the future will be provided at a news conference set for tomorrow. (12:30 at the Hilton Garden Hotel in St. John’s)
Federal Minister Joanne Thompson will be there, joined by producer Barbara Doran, script writer Des Walsh and will feature reflections from author Bernice Morgan.
