A man who was operating his all terrain vehicle on the main highway through Conception Bay South gave police a run for their money overnight, but RNC eventually caught up with him.
They tried to pull him over at about 1:00 am on the Conception Bay Highway, but he took off at a high rate of speed. They were able to get ahead of him on Peacekeepers Way at stop the ATV, but that’s not where the story ends. The 41-year-old tried, unsuccessfully, to flee on foot.
He has been charged with flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, drunk driving, and resisting arrest.
The ATV was seized and he was taken in to spend the night downtown.
