A local charity is forging ahead despite the passing of both of its founders.
Justin’s Musical Bridge was created by Justin Greeley of Greeley’s Reel, who wanted to set up a charity to provide free music lessons to children who might not otherwise have the means to learn how to play an instrument.
It also provides instrument rentals.
Greeley passed away in 2024 after being diagnosed with colorectal cancer at the young age of 39. His wife Aimee was a co-founder and decided to keep it going, but the 41-year-old succumbed to cervical cancer on March 5th.
Tom Conway, who had been working with Aimee on Justin’s Musical Bridge, says they have a fundraising concert coming up April 12th at the Majestic featuring artists like Jackie Sullivan, Karla Pilgrim, the Punters and the Navigators.
Tickets can be purchased at the Majestic Theatre’s website.
