The town of Paradise has been delayed in its snow clearing operations today after two serious incidents – one of which resulted in an employee being sent to hospital.
The town says a worker was injured while working on a piece of snow clearing equipment early this morning.
The town says it’s grateful that the employee, who was taken to hospital, was not seriously injured, and it thanks first responders for their quick response.
Occupational Health and Safety is investigating.
Meanwhile, a vehicle collided with one of the town’s tandem trucks during snow clearing today. The equipment was damaged, but there were no injuries to the town worker. The equipment had to be towed from the site and is currently being assessed for possible repairs.
The town of Paradise will provide a further update on its snow clearing operations later this evening and thanks residents for their patience and understanding.
