The RNC took a call around 9:00 last night from a citizen who told them that a man had left a vehicle running in the middle of the cul-de-sac, then fled the area on foot. Officers then determined that the vehicle had been damaged after crashing into a snowbank.

The police dog and his handler tracked down a suspect eating in a nearby establishment.

Police say he denied having anything to do with the crash vehicle, but say he also gave them a false name.

The 38-year-old has been charged.
