More details are expected today on how 5 Wing Goose Bay stands to benefit from billions of dollars set aside for arctic defense.

Federal MPs Joanne Thompson and Philip Earle will be at the base today for an announcement regarding Energy Performance Contracts underway at the base and other bases and wings across the nation.

Last month, Ottawa announced $35-billion for arctic infrastructure, but details have not been revealed as to the share 5 Wing Goose Bay will be getting.

The announcement is happening at noon, 11:30 in most of Labrador. VOCM News will have the latest as it becomes available.
