The St. John’s Regional Fire Department is sharing information on a recent recall on certain Frigidaire gas ranges because of a burn hazard risk.
The recall involves a number of model numbers of gas kitchen appliances, and consumers who own of the affected ovens are asked to stop using them immediately and contact the Electrolux Group for a free repair.
The affected model numbers
Ovens in the ranges can experience a delayed ignition of the bake burner that can create a potential risk of burns.
As of March 11th, the company has received three reports of incidents in Canada, including one that resulted in injury. There have been 59 reported incidents in the U.S. including 30 injuries.
Brand names include Frigidaire, Frigidaire Gallery and Frigidaire Professional.
