A man, who already had matters before the courts, is now facing new charges related to drug trafficking in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Just after 12:30 Sunday morning the RCMP went to conduct a curfew check on 21-year-old Dillion Bragg as part of his release conditions on a separate matter.
They say Bragg was not at the home and was arrested outside of a restaurant on Tuesday morning.
A later search turned up a small, bladed weapon, a quantity of suspected cocaine and other items consistent with drug trafficking.
Police also searched a home on Brett Street in relation to the investigation and additional evidence was seized. Two women inside the home were arrested, but were later released without charges.
Bragg has now been charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) and three counts of failing to comply with a release order.
The accused appeared in court yesterday.
