A sloppy, messy start to the Easter week break.
Rain in the eastern part of the province comes as a welcome reprieve from this weekend’s snow, while ice pellets will change to rain in central, and flurries on the west coast.
Environment Canada meteorologist Wanda Batten says temperatures will be relatively mild today, but will drop this evening.
She says winds are from the west and southwest, but will shift this evening, causing temperatures to drop with flurries expected along the west and south coasts.
The weather will improve somewhat on Tuesday, but they’re watching another system forecast to track across the island on Wednesday.
Batten says that system could bring some snow, but the forecast model is still uncertain.
