Three people are facing charges after RNC tracked down a vehicle reported stolen in the metro area on the weekend.
Police received numerous traffic complaints from Mount Pearl late Saturday morning about the suspect vehicle but police attempts to stop it had to be called off due to safety concerns.
Shortly after noon, an attempt was made at a convenience store on Blackmarsh Road to use a credit card left inside the stolen vehicle.
RNC say 29-year-old David Orach was arrested and charged with fraud, possession of a stolen credit card, vehicle theft, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breaches.
The vehicle was not found at that time.
Later that afternoon, police were called about the stolen vehicle being involved in a collision on Pitts Memorial. Patrol officers and a police dog tracked down 34-year-old Elliott Fry and 44-year-old Gavin Richards near a business in Donovan’s Industrial Park.
Fry has been charged with vehicle theft, flight from police, dangerous driving, possession of stolen property, possessing a stolen credit card and breaches, while Richards has been charged with vehicle theft.
All three men were held to appear in court.
