Winter will maintain its tenacious hold on the island with another system on its way for tomorrow that will bring snow to many areas.
Temperatures will remain on the freezing side with a chance of flurries today for eastern portions of the island.
However, snowfall is in the forecast for the south coast and Avalon Peninsula tomorrow morning according to Environment Canada meteorologist, Hailey Wigmore.
She says between 5 and 10 cm is expected for the Burin and Avalon peninsulas, with lesser amounts for the Bonavista Peninsula.
The rest of the island can expect flurries.
