A collision between a car and a pick-up near the Bull Arm turnoff Saturday evening claimed the lives of two young people.

The victims, a 23-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman who were in the car, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pick-up was taken to hospital for treatment.

The highway was closed overnight.

The investigation includes an inspection of both vehicles.
