No big savings at the gas pumps in the PUB’s latest adjustment.
Gas is down by a cent this morning. Diesel drops 6 and a half cents on the island and roughly 7 cents in Labrador West.
The price of furnace and stove oil is down by almost 6 cents per litre.
The PUB says daily price adjustments are expected to continue with the frequency to be assessed on a weekly bases until further notice.
The Board acknowledges that some retailers could sell product at a loss because of the current volatility, but when prices increase, the opposite is true and retailers could see a significant benefit from their original inventory purchase.
Gas price regulation is set through provincial government policy.
