Now that a budget date is set, the Registered Nurses Union is looking for solutions to a health care system that it says is short-staffed and over-stretched.
The RNU says patients are waiting too long for care and nurses are working short, and stretched too thin.
The union says in many communities, services are unstable and uncertain, leaving many patients uncertain as to whether or not they’ll get service when they need it.
President Yvette Coffey says government campaigned on a platform of better healthcare and many people will be watching when the budget comes down next week to see how it will be addressed.
