RCMP have charged a man in connection with a serious collision on the Trans Canada near Thorburn Lake late last year.
The incident, on December 12, involved a tractor trailer which collided with two vehicles before leaving the highway.
Two people were sent to hospital with serious injuries after the vehicle they were in ended up in a pond.
The driver of the transport truck, 31-year-old Mitchell Ploughman has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm and two counts of criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
He’s scheduled to appear in provincial court in late July.
More charges under the Highway Traffic Act are anticipated.
